One of the nicest thing about Math Investigations is all the games the children get to play while learning Math. These pictures show the children playing Plus or Minus One Bingo. The students turn over a card and have to decide what the numbers would be if they added one or took one away and then they can cover that number. They keep playing until they have Bingo! It's a fun way to learn Math!

We have finished our Fund Run (PTA's big fund raiser) and one of our students was in the group that won a Silly String Party with the Principal. With about eight other first graders he met her at the yellow brick road and had the chance to silly string the Principal! If you know OUR Principal, you know that she did not go into battle unarmed! She had a silly string can of her own! What fun!

Today our class completed our fall planting in our raised beds. We were able to plant tomatoes, kohlrabi, lettuce, spinach and carrots. Each student was able to plant some of the seedlings and seeds themselves. Even though it was HOT, the kids had a blast. We can't wait to see the end result. A special thank you to Finn, Leland and Sawyer's moms for coming out and helping us plant. We could not have done it without you.

It was wicked hot but the children ran this morning to raise money for the school. I was so-o-o-o proud of them and all the parents that came out to watch! Special thanks to Sophia's mother for surprising us with Popsicles after the run! We have the best parents ever!
