"I feel like a hero!"

Today we were in the school garden harvesting turnips, kale, and cabbage. The bounty today will go into Blessings in a Backpack which is a school program that sends a bag of groceries home with children who might be hungry over the weekend. Blessings in a Backpack is a national program that is run by our Teacher of the Gifted, Lauren Skipper. I think the children felt very good about themselves after giving up some of their recess time to work in the garden.
